2024 Official State of Alaska Bull Moose Medallion

The 2024 Official State Medallion was designed by Alaskan artist, Ira Levinton. Ira also designed several earlier years of these medallions. These medallions are 1 oz proof silver and are packaged in a box and airtite container. We also mint a 2 oz. “Alaska Size” version of this medallion that is a full 2 inches in diameter, in both silver and double gold relief. The Official State Medallions are the only medallions that we mint that feature the Seal of the State of Alaska on the reverse!

Bull moose in Alaska are magnificent and iconic creatures, emblematic of the state’s vast wilderness and untamed beauty. Alaska is home to a thriving population of these massive herbivores, boasting the largest subspecies of moose, known as the Alaskan moose (Alces alces gigas).
