112.2 Gram Natural Gold Nugget Specs

This beautiful 112.2 gram natural gold nugget was mined at Otter Creek near Atlin B.C. in 1985. Gold was first discovered in the Atlin district in the 1850’s. Atlin earned the nickname ‘Switzerland of the North’ due to its rugged mountains and stunning vistas.  The remote location and difficult terrain made many sections of British Columbia rather hostile towards the mining of gold. The area comprising Northern British Columbia, the Yukon Territory, and Alaska collectively earned the name “The Klondike.”

This Natural Gold nugget weighs 112.2 grams (about 3.6 troy ounces). It is 1 1/4″ wide, 2″ tall, and about 3/4″ thick. This nugget comes with a certification book and map showing when and where the gold was found.
