Natural Gold & Quartz Specimen Specs
This beautiful 97.1 gram natural gold & quartz specimen was mined years ago at the Pickle Creek Gold Mine! The mine is located in Ontario Canada and has been saved by the family ever since. The family did a specific gravity test on this specimen and determine the weight to be 54% gold. Gold has a specific gravity of 19.32 and quartz is 2.65, that is why the quartz area looks much larger but the gold is very heavy by comparison. The Pickle Crow Gold Mine was once a prominent gold mining operation known for producing high-grade gold ore. Gold and quartz specimens from this mine can be quite valuable and are sought after by collectors and enthusiasts.
