This medallion celebrates 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
In 2026, the United States turns 250 years old, marking a quarter of a millennium since the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776. Over that time, the nation has grown from thirteen colonies on the Atlantic coast into a diverse and powerful country of fifty states, shaped by struggles, achievements, and ongoing efforts to live up to its founding ideals of liberty and equality. The 250th anniversary, known as the Semiquincentennial, offers a moment to reflect on America’s journey, its resilience, innovation, and progress. while also looking ahead to the challenges and opportunities of the next 250 years.
The front side of our medallion was designed by former U.S. Mint engraver Tom Rogers, who most recently was honored by having his reverse design on the 25th Anniversary Sacagawea 2025 Golden Dollar 24K 1/2 ounce gold proof coin. Tom has been designing and sculpting plaster coin models for over 50 years, working at the U.S. Mint from 1991 to 2001. His style is unique, he carves all his work backwards in plaster, then pours the final master cast and finalizes the detail all by hand.
This money clip features the reverse design. We protect the front of the medallion with an epoxy coating and they come packaged in a nice gift box.
