Polar bears are iconic animals that inhabit the Arctic region, including Alaska. These majestic creatures are well-adapted to survive in the harsh environment of the Arctic. They have a thick layer of fur, large paws for walking on ice, and excellent swimming abilities. In Alaska, polar bears are found primarily in the northern and western coastal regions, where they rely on sea ice for hunting their main prey, ringed and bearded seals.
