This medallion features a classic image from the Klondike, a miner kneeling beside a stream while panning for gold. The reverse is our Land of the Midnight Sun design. We call these medallions “Alaska Size” because of they are so much larger than a typical silver coin. It is minted from 2 ounces of pure silver, and is a full 2 inches in diameter! They are struck a single time on our press instead of the multi-struck proof medallions we make. They are still very nice quality but this allows us to sell them at a lower price, they come packaged in a velvet pouch.
