This medallion featuring the “Big Four” are the 4 animals everyone visiting Alaska wants to see. The Caribou, Dall Sheep, Moose and Grizzly Bear. The reverse is our Land of the Midnight Sun design. We call these medallions “Alaska Size” because of they are so much larger than a typical silver coin. It is minted from 2 ounces of pure silver, and is a full 2 inches in diameter! They are struck a single time on our press instead of the multi-struck proof medallions we make. They are still very nice quality but this allows us to sell them at a lower price, they come packaged in a velvet pouch.
