2025 celebrates Iditarod’s 53rd Anniversary! The “Last Great Race On Earth”, is 1049 miles long and stretches from Anchorage to Nome. This race is one of the most grueling events in the world and follows the historic trail that  was used in 1925 by dog teams to bring 300,000 units of life-saving diphtheria serum to an epidemic in Nome.
