Natural Gold Nugget Specs
This beautiful 55.7 gram natural gold nugget was mined in Atlin B.C. this past summer. Nicknamed “Switzerland of the North” because of the rugged mountains and beautiful vistas, gold was first discovered in the Atlin district in the 1850’s. The remote location and difficult terrain made many sections of British Columbia rather hostile towards the mining of gold.
This natural gold nugget weighs 55.7 grams (almost 2 troy ounces). It is 1.5″ long, over 1″ wide and about 1/4″ thick. This nugget comes with a certification book and map showing when and where the gold was found.
