This natural gold nugget weighs 236.9 grams, 7.62 troy ounces. It is almost 2.5″ long, about 1.25″ wide, and nearly 1/2″ thick. This nugget has a semi-rugged texture, with rounded features, showing that it traveled downstream far enough to break the quartz crystals away but you can still see areas left behind in the gold where the quartz had been. It was tested using an x-ray fluorescence machine and is 96% pure gold.
