Men and women have been traveling north to Alaska for well over 150 years to “strike it rich” in the great land. There have been gold rushes throughout the state from South Central towns of Hope and Sunrise, to the gold fields of the Klondike along the Canadian boarder, Eagle, Fairbanks and Nome.
It looks like the gold miners on this coin must have found their “Mother Lode”. This series features a different mining scene each year with the miner always finding the gold they are after. A natural Alaskan gold nugget is attached to the silver, and gold relief coins.
These medallions are available in golden bronze, 1 oz .999 fine silver, 1 oz single gold relief (24k plating on front of the silver coin) and 1 oz double gold relief (24k gold plating on both sides). The 1 oz medallion is similar in size to a silver dollar and is dated 2023. They are packaged in an airtight container and handsome gift box. The reverse is our Land of the Midnight Sun reverse.
