These Standing Santa assay bars are a perfect stocking stuffer and come in 2 sizes. The smaller one is about 1.5″ tall and weighs almost 2 ounces, the larger one is over 1.75″ tall and weighs about 4 ounces of pure .999 fine silver! These 3-dimensional molds are tricky to pour and cost a little bit more for us to make.
We design these molds then have our jeweler pour them one-at-a-time outside of his workshop. Since these are poured outdoors, the texture and weight of the bars will vary due to the changing conditions of the weather. This makes every bar unique and no two bars will look exactly the same. We stamp our hallmark, and the weight and fineness of silver on each bar.
When we mint our medallions, if they have flaws that don’t pass our quality control standard, we melt them down and pour them into different shaped bars. This is our fun way of recycling, we get to turn something flawed into a piece of art.
